Yolanda Lewis-Harris, PhD, LPC.
CEO/ Mental Health Therapist
Dr. Yolanda Lewis-Harris is the CEO and Owner of Empowering Minds Nurturing Souls Corporation. She is also the Director of the Counseling Center at Pikes Peak StateCollege (PPSC). She has been with PPSC for fifteenyears. Before joining PPSC, Dr. Lewis-Harris worked as a Social Worker for over 24 years in the states of Texas, Wyoming, California, and Colorado with the Department of Human Services, Rape Crisis Center, and Catholic Charities. She started her private counseling practice in 2006 in Colorado Springs, helping people in the community with mental health issues, career change, and life adjustment issues. Dr. Lewis-Harris graduated from Texas Woman's University with a bachelor's degree in Social Work. She received her Master's in Clinical Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003. Dr. Lewis-Harris received her Doctorate from Grand Canyon University in 2025. Yolanda is a licensed Professional Counselor, National Board Certified Counselor, an Addiction Specialist, and EMDR Trained. Yolanda has also supervised student interns from various universities in the social work and counseling field. She is a member of the Signature Leadership Pikes Peak. Dr. Lewis-Harris served on the YMCA Southeast Branch and Mission Medical advisory boards. She currently serves on the National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI).

Dr. Lewis-Harris has volunteered in all four stated she resided. She volunteered in the school systems, Girl Scouts troops, homeless shelters, Rape Crisis Centers, and numerous community events. She also volunteered on the military bases, helping families with food and clothing.
Yolanda is a wife and mother of two beautiful young ladies. Her husband is a retired Major from the United States Air Force.
